Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise has been a leader in providing Homebuyer Education Workshops for over 15 years.  Our mission has been and continues to be – provide the knowledge, tools and resources so that homebuyers can become successful homeowners. 

CNE's Homebuyer Education Workshop meets the HUD-Approved guidelines that are required for several loan programs.  During the course of our 8-hour class day, some of the topics we cover are: 

·         Understanding Credit and Resolving Credit Issues

·          Negotiating the Sales Contract

·          Obtaining Financing

·          Preparing for the Loan Closing

Our experienced instructors provide real-world answers, for the sometimes complex transaction of purchasing a home.  We additionally from time to time have industry professionals (i.e. home inspectors, appraisers, etc.) share their knowledge and expertise on a given topic.  Entry into our Workshop is either by having participated in our Pre-Purchase Counseling Program or Lender referral.   Our facility is wheelchair accessible and lunch is provided.  You may contact Jose Ocando, our Homeownership Department coordinator, for additional information at 423-756-6207 or jocando@cneinc.org. We are conveniently located at 1301 Market Street, Suite 100, Chattanooga, TN  37402.
